The Kapoor girls are at it again! Whether it is messing up with their personal life or pouncing on a newly single man. I might sound harsh while you read this, but they way Shahid is handling the break-up, you can all but adore him and blame Kareena for keeping up with the family tradition.

The news of the Shahid-Kareena break-up has spread like the fire in a jungle and might well prove disastrous for their upcoming film ‘Jab We Met’ in which Shahid and Kareena are paired together.

It might have been tough for Shahid but the young man keeps his head firmly on his shoulders as he requests Kareena to hide the break-up news until their film releases.

From the looks of it, the film surely promises to be an interesting watch. And while, Kareena is merry making with Saif on the sets of Tashan, Shahid has to keep his fingers crossed that the bimbo keeps her traps shut. Such is personal dearies!!

Shah Rukh Khan, Pandit Ravi Shankar, A.R. Rahman and Subhash Chandra have been nominated for Indian American Achiever’s Awards along with the likes of N.R. Narayana Murthy, Sam Pitroda , Dr. Deepak Chopra, Bill Gates and Richard Gere.

These awards are started by CineMaya Media Group in honor of 60 years of India’s independence and to acknowledge the contribution of Indian diaspora and Americans. The announcement of the awards and launch of CineMaya Media Group’s Indian operations was done at an event in Mumbai.

Rani Mukerji is terribly upset with her good-friend-gone-bad Aishwarya Rai. If sources are to be believed, Aishwarya passed some not-so-appreciative remarks about Rani’s excessive make-up, on the sets of Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag in Switzerland.

Sources close to Rani inform that the actress is still miffed. Speculations are rife that her association with the Bachchan family may sever. Crewmembers from the sets of Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag inform that Jaya Bachchan also gave Rani the cold shoulder. “Rani may be maintaining a dignified silence but she is extremely hurt. Firstly, Jayaji completely ignored her on the sets. Secondly, Ash was extremely rude to her during our Switzerland schedule,” says the source.

What comes as a surprise is that Rani and Aishwarya were bosom pals till Shah Rukh Khan’s production, Chalte Chalte came their way. The story goes that Rani used to consult Ash on matters of appearances, endorsements and films. However, she didn’t inform Ash about taking up Chalte Chalte, after the former walked out of the film. A source close to Ash informs, “Ash felt betrayed when Rani didn’t tell her about Chalte Chalte. Ash was going through a bad patch then because of her break-up with Salman. Later she got to know through a common friend that Rani has replaced her.”

Rani has been fuming over Ash’s comments and telling friends that she is going to break her silence only at the right time. A source close to Rani, on condition of anonymity, says, “She is maintaining a dignified silence only because of Amitabhji and Abhishek. She is very fond of them and doesn’t want to hurt them.”

Rani Mukerji was not available for a comment. When quizzed about it, brother Raja Mukherji said, “I don’t know about it.”

Her debut film may have sunk without a trace, but that hasn’t stopped Sherlyn Chopra from trying to prove her detractors wrong. Having taken her ‘oh-so-forgettable’ debut in her stride, the sexy actress is ready to re-launch herself. And this time, she’s not only set to prove that she can act, but also sing.

The sexy siren is ready to launch her own music album. Titled Outrageous — End of The Beginning, the album according to the firebrand, ‘brings to fore deep and hidden desires that humans harbour, but refuse to acknowledge’.

What’s more, for her music video, the lissome babe will be directed by adman Prahlad Kakkar. “There couldn’t have been a better person to direct my music video,” reveals Sherlyn, who’s also composed and written the lyrics for the six tracks. Talking about the album, she says, “The album’s promoting attitude that it’s okay to break the rules and follow your heart.”

The actress whose in-your-face-sexuality has earned her more recognition, admits that she has no qualms in flaunting what she’s got. “The problem here is that people tend to mix up morality with sexuality.

I mean why is it so difficult to believe that a skimpily clad girl also prays everyday. Just because I expose doesn’t mean I’m a loose character,” she justifies, adding that she sees nothing wrong in exposing her cleavage. “What’s evil about flaunting your sexuality?” she questions.

The actress also admits that people tend to misconstrue her image, since she herself believes that she’s a bundle of contradictions. “I am naive, yet street-smart, stylish, yet simple at heart.” So, how does she best describe herself? “A lamb in a tigress’ body,” she laughs.

Hema Malini is back donning the director’s cap again. After a lot of speculations in the past couple of years over her directorial come back, Hema Malini will direct her daughter Esha Deol opposite Abhishek Bachchan in her next film.

The film also stars the ageless beauty Rekha in it. The film is based on the relationship of two women of two different generations who are related to each other because of their common passion, classical dance.

Hmmm, so Rekha will be acting in the same film as Abhishek. Why not get in Amitabh Bachchan to just finish off the perfect frame. Ahem Ahem!
