Triple H Biography
Born Paul Michael Levesque on the 27th of July 1969, Triple H is a pro American wrestler formerly known as Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Currently, Triple H wrestles for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)’s RAW brand.
Before moving to World Wrestling Entertainment, Triple H’s wrestling career was launched in the year 1993 at World Championship Wrestling. At that point, he was wrestling under the moniker Terra Ryzin. Later, his name was changed to Jean Paul Levesque. In the year 1995, he joined World Wrestling Federation – now known as World Wrestling Entertainment.
Since he started wrestling for World Wrestling Entertainment, Triple H has been a World Champion on ten occasions. Half of those times were as a WWF Champion, the other half as a World Heavyweight Champion. Triple H has also been a winner of the Royal Rumble and King of the Ring. Triple H was also the seventh Triple Crown champion as well as the second grand slam champion. Trip H also has the distinction of having been the leader of the stables D Generation X and Evolution.
In real life, he is married to Stephanie McMahon Levesque. He is the son in law of Vince McMahon, chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment. For these reasons, it is believed that Triple H has a lot of pull backstage, beginning with his membership in the Clique.
Besides his wrestling career, Triple H has also appeared in numerous films and television shows. He recently starred in the forthcoming WWE movie Jornada del Muerto.
It was in the late ‘80s that Paul Michael Levesque began his training as a wrestler. After being recommended by his bodybuilding partner, Ted Arcidi, he began to train at the wrestling studio of Killer Kowalski.
Paul Michael Levesque would then go on to join the Independent Wrestling Federation. This Federation consisted largely of trainees from Kowalski’s school. With IWF, Levesque would win his first title, the IWF Heavyweight Championship. In addition, Levesque won the IWF Tag Team Championship alongside Perry Saturn. At that point, Levesque was wrestling under the name Terra Ryzin.
In the year 1994, Levesque joined WCW (World Championship Wrestling.) He wrestled as a heel. Up until the middle of that year, he continued using the Terra Ryzin name. Mid-way through 1994, he was rechristened Jean Paul Levesque. This name was given to him thanks to his last name’s French origins. Since he was unable to speak French, he was asked to speak with a French accent. He began to use his finisher The Pedigree around this period, as well.
For a brief period, Levesque had a feud with Alex Wright. This feud culminated in Starrcade. In the first half of 1995, Levesque teamed up briefly with Lord Steven Regal, whose snotty British personality matched Levesque’s French equivalent. Despite their popularity among friends, the team was not meant to last long, as Paul Michael Levesque soon departed for the World Wrestling Federation, where he would begin building the Triple H character he is so famous for today.
